Willkommen zum fünften Tag der Berlinale! Der 16. Februar bringt einen weiteren dynamischen Tag des queeren Kinos mit spannenden Premieren, zahlreichen Reruns sowie weiteren Screenings aus dem TEDDY-40-Sonderprogramm. Von mutigen neuen Perspektiven bis hin zu prägenden filmischen Stimmen spiegeln die heutigen Beiträge die kontinuierliche Weiterentwicklung und kreative Kraft des queeren Films wider.

Neben den Vorführungen laden wir euch herzlich zum zweiteiligen Directors Exchange ein.
In Directors Exchange: Cinematic Inheritance: Pioneers and Emerging Voices würdigen wir Filmemacher*innen, deren Mut und Vorstellungskraft das queere Kino geprägt haben, und richten zugleich den Blick auf eine neue Generation, die an diese Traditionen anknüpft.
Directors Exchange: Standing in the Way of Control widmet sich Filmen, die dominante Strukturen herausfordern, rassistische Mechanismen offenlegen, Genregrenzen hinterfragen und queeren Widerstand im heutigen kulturellen und politischen Kontext verorten.
